Are you interested?

Are you interested in serving on KCDHH Commission?
The Office of the Governor encourages anyone interested in serving on the Commission to apply for Governor’s consideration. To be considered for appointment, applicants must complete:

  • Appointment application/resume
  • Certificate of tax clearance
  • Statement of Substantial Interest (SSI)

Initial Application

The appointments office asks that you complete the Initial Board/Commission Appointment Questionnaire at your earliest convenience as it will be the foundation for considering your appointment. A copy of your current resume/CV may be uploaded at the same time.

Certificate of Tax Clearance

You must complete the Tax Clearance - Individual Income Request form. It should take only a few minutes, and you should have a result within 24 hours. Once you receive the certificate, please send it to boardsandcommissions@ks.gov

Statement of Substantial Interest

We’ll need a copy of your updated Statement of Substantial Interest. As you may know, many public employees and appointees are required to file or update our SSI in April. Our office generally requires the filing of an SSI by all gubernatorial appointees, so you should update or create it online now if necessary, and then you can update it as needed later.

The Kansas Governmental Ethics Office is very helpful and can answer questions about filling out the SSI. They can be reached at (785) 296-4219 or KGEC_Ethics@ks.gov.
